Equity Merchants, LLC was founded by Dan Schwartz and Mike Casey in November of 2010 with one sole purpose: To become experts in finding and acquiring undervalued, equity-rich real estate in the Baltimore/Washington region and get these properties in the hands of as many able investors as possible. We like to think of ourselves as market stimulators, making sure that all of our properties are put in the right hands and will contribute value to the local communities and economy.
Mike Casey comes from a long lineage of real estate professionals and was born with an understanding and a passion for the business. At the ripe age of 24, he is actively renovating properties throughout the Baltimore area. Using his expertise in analyzing and negotiating deals, Mike heads the acquisitions side of Equity Merchants and is looking forward to a long and successful carreer helping sellers find solutions and growing a sizable portfolio of affordable housing. He is a graduate of the Investors United School of Real Estate Investing and is currently studying Real Estate at The University of Baltimore.

Dan Schwartz, 23, is a graduate of the R. H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland with a degree in Marketing. After meeting Mike shortly after graduating, Dan brought his experience in business, entrepreneurship, and marketing to grow Equity Merchants into a powerhouse wholesale provider in the Baltimore real estate market. Dan heads the marketing and business development side of things, and plans on growing the company into a major investment firm providing top-notch real estate solutions to hundreds of investors and homeowners over the coming years. He aims to help as many people discover the power that real estate can provide as a vehicle to achieve true freedom in their lives.
